IAPC - Format Options

For convenience, protocols are available in hard copy and on CD ROM. The electronic version includes three formats: MS Word, Adobe AcrobatTM and HTML.

Adobe AcrobatTM Portable Document Format (PDF)

PDF format produces an exact replica of the printed document. This format enables an auditor to leave the hard copy protocol at home and have all the information available electronically. Adobe's AcrobatTM reader is provided by ENSR at no extra charge. The reader is platform-independent and provides hypertext links from the table of contents to individual chapters and sections of the protocol.

Hypertext Mark up Language (HTML)

For broader distribution of protocol documents using Internet technologies, ENSR offers an HTML version of the documents. This format is particularly useful for clients wishing to distribute the information via a corporate EH&S intranet. The HTML version provides basic navigation, a linked table of contents and compatibility with industry standard browsers. The information is preformatted into HTML and each country's protocol is published as a series of linked documents. Appendix information requires the Adobe Acrobat reader described above.
