Technology Evaluations and Feasibility Studies
Projects
ENSR was retained by an international chemical company to evaluate sheet pile designs to impede groundwater flow at various locations at a Texas facility. This evaluation included a review of available sheet piles that were able to withstand the driving forces required for installation at the facility, followed by field testing of the most suitable sheet piling.
ENSR teamed with another engineering firm to design, install, and operate two demonstration-scale biovault test cells of soil from a site under the Superfund Innovative Technology Evaluation (SITE) Treatability Demonstration. New York State funded the study to demonstrate the extent and rate of biodegradation of specific volatile organic compounds in the vaults.
